Emily Klarman

Emily began doing agility in 2005 as a junior handler, growing up in the sport surrounded by many wonderful role models. After going to school and graduating with a nursing degree in 2020, she realized how much she wanted to make agility teaching her career, and was brought on as a full time instructor at UDog Agility in 2022.

Emily is a compassionate instructor who strives to bring out each person’s individual version of success - whether that’s working towards world team goals, or working on focus and confidence in the ring. She has worked with many different breeds and understands that dog training is not one-size-fits-all. She is happy to think outside the box to help handlers and their dogs flourish.

Katie Brennan

Katie Brennan is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and Professional Dog Trainer (CDBC & CPDT-KA), and has over a decade of experience teaching agility and training working detection canines. Her first dog, Kimma, helped forge her deep passion in dog sports. Once a fearful Finnish Spitz, Kimma became the first in her breed to earn numerous titles and hooked Katie on performance sports. Her notable accomplishments include: highest earning Finnish Spitz in AKC agility history, first female Finnish Spitz to be invited to AKC Agility Invitationals, and highest earning Finnish Spitz in AKC Rally.

Katie places a lot of importance on making the learning process fun and exciting for everyone, while still being sure to set up teams for success with proper foundational skills. She has also helped many students find solutions to behavioral hurdles that had previously prevented them from being able to shine in a competition setting.

Katie currently competes in agility with her Sheltie, Sonya Blade, and her Border Collie, Johnny Cage. With Sonya and Johnny, she has earned numerous AKC and UKI championships, as well as many podium placements at UKI cups and classics, and ISC cup height and overall placements. At UDog, Katie is the Registrar and Building Manager, subs for classes when needed, and offers private lessons and workshops. Her household is run by her now retired Finnish Spitz, Jari and Bubbles.

Kelly Ries

Kelly, a Bucks County native, graduated from Delaware Valley University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Small Animal Science. She works full time as a Veterinary Nurse at Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic.

Kelly grew up an avid horseback rider, competing and training horses. She showed competitively for many years in the jumper and hunter rings. She transitioned into dog training in 2012 when she began agility with her All-American dog, Brady. Her knowledge and expertise from riding helped her to quickly transition into agility. Kelly began instructing agility classes in 2014, and joined the UDog team in 2019, teaching private lessons and group classes. She loves inspiring teams to improve their relationship with each other whether they go on to compete or just enjoy agility for fun.  She continues to increase her education of the sport and pass on her knowledge to her students.

Her Novice A dog Brady earned many titles in AKC during his career (PACH PAX2 AX AXJ MXP4 MJP5 MXPB MJPS MFP), and they also competed at the Masters Agility Championship at Westminster. Kelly currently competes with her Border Collie, Rory. Together, they have achieved multiple titles in UKI including International Agility Championship 8 (IAC8), International Win Agility Championship 6 (IWAC6), Champion of Speedstakes (CSS) and Win Champion of Speedstakes (WCSS).

Other notable accomplishments include:
- Gold Masters Series in the competitive 20” class at the UKI Canadian Open in 2023
- Bronze Masters Series and Bronze Flatout Dog Challenge at the UKI Canadian Open in 2022
- Bronze Games winners at the UKI Southeast Cup in 2022

Kelly looks forward to continuing her agility career with Rory and her young Border Collie, Lane, with whom she has aspirations of competing internationally.

Barbara Doering

Barbara’s interest in dog sports was sparked over 30 years ago when, pregnant with twins, she attended obedience class with her first dog. She became hooked, and not only excelled in the ring, but went on to become an obedience instructor and an AKC obedience judge. Barbara is also a member of the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, and has over 20 years of teaching experience.

In 2006, Barbara began competing in agility. She has earned multiple MACHs, including with her Rottweiler, Siri (OTCH MACH3 PACH Sirius Canis Major V. Youngken UDX4 OM5 VER MXC MJC MXP3 MXPB MJP4 MJPB PAX XF T2B CGC). Together they have attended multiple AKC Agility Invitationals, AKC Agility National Championships, and Westminster Masters Agility Championships. Her young dog, Alexa, is a 2-year-old Working Kelpie, and is currently competing in AKC Masters and UKI Senior levels.

Barbara began teaching for UDog in 2021 and is delighted to be part of this positive and supportive team. She is enthusiastic about introducing others to the dog sports she loves, and recognizes the importance of strong foundation skills.

Sarah Westcott

Sarah has been a full time dog trainer for 20 years, with experience in manners, behavior consulting, and agility. A transplant from Brooklyn, NY, Sarah still operates a dog training business she started there, overseeing a wonderful team of trainers. In 2019, she also co-authored the book, “Play Your Way to Good Manners: Getting the Best Behavior from Your Dog through Sports, Games, and Tricks.” It was named the 2019 Best Book in Training or Sports by the Dog Writers Association of America. Given that book title, it is no surprise that Sarah is known for her supportive and fun, yet scientific and specific, teaching style.

Sarah has been an active competitor in agility for well over a decade, competing nationally and internationally. Her Novice A Dog, Hank, was a Labrador/Coonhound mix, and she currently has 3 Border Collies: Fever, Riddle, and Gotham. Recent notable accomplishments include:
